Summary

Amends the

Australian Human Rights Commission Act 1986
to: require the Australian Human Rights Commission to undertake a preliminary assessment of a complaint before proceeding to a full inquiry and attempt to conciliate; set out the steps of the preliminary assessment process; and provide for the termination of a complaint at any time during the preliminary assessment process.
